Material of Polyurethane High-Frequency Screen Mesh

The core material of polyurethane high-frequency screen mesh is polymeric polyurethane (PU)-a polymeric elastomer formed through the reaction of polyols and isocyanates. Polyurethane materials are characterized by high strength, high elasticity, and excellent abrasion resistance, enabling them to withstand prolonged vibration and impact without easily fracturing or deforming. Depending on the operating environment and specific screening requirements, the hardness, abrasion resistance, and tear strength of the polyurethane can be tailored by adjusting its molecular structure or incorporating fillers, thereby meeting the diverse screening needs associated with various materials and working conditions.

 

Polyurethane material combines the advantages of both plastics and rubber, offering excellent flexibility alongside high hardness and wear resistance. Its abrasion resistance is unparalleled by ordinary metal or rubber screen meshes, resulting in a significant extension of the screen's service life. Furthermore, polyurethane exhibits resistance to corrosion, oil, acids, and alkalis, making the screen mesh suitable for application in a wide range of industrial environments-including ore processing, chemical powder handling, and food processing. Under high-frequency vibration, the material's inherent elasticity enhances the bouncing and rolling motion of the screened materials; this facilitates the passage of fine particles through the mesh apertures while simultaneously mitigating the impact force exerted by the materials on the screen, thereby reducing material breakage rates.

 

In practical production settings, the specific grade of polyurethane selected for high-frequency screen meshes is optimized based on the type of material being screened, its particle size distribution, and the prevailing working environment. For dry, hard mineral powders, a high-hardness, highly abrasion-resistant polyurethane is typically selected to maximize screen longevity; conversely, for moist or viscous materials, a polyurethane grade offering superior elasticity and flexibility is chosen to prevent screen clogging and material adhesion.
