Tips For Using Polyurethane Slotted Screen Panels

Before putting a polyurethane slotted screen into service, ensure that it is installed level and securely fastened. During installation, first inspect the screen surface for any cracks, clogged slots, or debris, and clean it thoroughly. When securing the screen, apply force evenly to prevent slackness or excessive localized tension, thereby avoiding displacement or damage during vibration. Once installation is complete, perform a no-load test run; observe whether the screen remains stable under vibration, and verify that the vibration direction, frequency, and amplitude meet the specific requirements for the material being screened. Only then should material be introduced for formal operation.

During operation, ensure that material is fed uniformly; avoid dumping excessive amounts at once, as this can lead to screen surface clogging or excessive localized stress. Adjust the vibrating screen's frequency, amplitude, and screen deck inclination angle according to the properties of the material being processed: for fine-grained or lightweight materials, the vibration frequency may be increased to promote vigorous bouncing and enhance throughput; for moist or viscous materials, the screen deck inclination or amplitude may be increased to ensure uniform spreading of the material, thereby preventing slot clogging or agglomeration, and ultimately guaranteeing screening efficiency and accuracy.

During the operation of a polyurethane slotted screen, periodically inspect the slots for clogging and check the screen surface for signs of wear or cracking. After shutting down the equipment, use a soft brush or compressed air to remove residual material; avoid using sharp tools that could scratch or damage the screen surface. For screens that have been in long-term use, individual modules or the entire screen sheet should be replaced in a timely manner-based on the extent of wear-to maintain screening quality.
